Introduction to Circuits
Makey Makey boards turn everyday objects into inputs — a playful first step into electronics.
Discovery Spot · touch the future
Developed by iSpace and the University of West Florida, Discovery Spot is built on research, understanding and dedication to education.
About Discovery Spot
At Discovery Spot, students don’t just use technology — they create it. Small groups work through guided, project-based activities in app development, 3D design and printing, game programming, robotics, electronics and laser physics.
Our content is developed by university professors, students and industry professionals, and we continually add and revise activities based on feedback from students, parents and teachers.

Activities
Makey Makey boards turn everyday objects into inputs — a playful first step into electronics.
Students design and build working apps, then test them on real devices.
From a digital model on screen to a physical object off the 3D printer.
Students code their own video games and learn the logic behind them.
Wiring sensors and motors, and programming robots to move and react.
Hands-on laser physics: sending signals with light.
Growing the program
We keep adding new topics so students can keep progressing.
Who we are
At the heart of Discovery Spot is research, understanding and dedication to education.

For schools & organizations
Discovery Spot programs have run with schools in the United States and India. If you’d like to host a camp, workshop or after-school program, we’d love to hear from you.
